On arrival in Siem Reap, you will be greeted and transferred by our local representative to your hotel. Colossal stone faces stare impassively across stone-built temples, huge structures devoted to long-forgotten empires, now trailed by jungle creepers and pierced by the strangling roots of vast forest trees. This is the complex of Angkor, the famous ‘lost city’ of the Khmers, the most astounding archaeological site in Asia and undoubtedly one of the world’s great travel highlights. Enjoy a tour of the Roulos group of temples including Prasat Bakong, PreahKo and Lo Lei. Later, visit Angkor Thom, a fortified Royal City built by King Jayavarman VII, who ruled from 1181 to 1201. Discover the five towers of Angkor Wat, venture into the ruins of Ta Prohm, explore the splendid walled city of Angkor Thom, view the massive carvedfaces of the Bayon, and visit the Baphuon temple and Terraces of the Leper King and the Elephants. You are scheduled to spend your night in Siem Reap.
