Experience the diverse flavours of Cambodia as you explore the historical attractions of two great cities!
DAY 1 – Arrive Phnom Penh
On arrival in Phnom Penh, you will be greeted and transferred by our local representative to your hotel. Discover the iconic sites on a sightseeing tour. This tour takes in some of Cambodia’s fine Khmer and French influences. Visit the Royal Palace, still the royal residence, the Silver Pagoda, so named because its floor is made up of 5,000 silver tiles, the National Museum, home to outstanding displays of Khmer artefacts, Wat Phnom hill - the founding place of the city and shop for trinkets at the famous Central Market. You are scheduled to spend the night in Phnom Penh.
DAY 2 – Phnom Penh - Siem Reap
This morning, you will be flown to Siem Reap. Colossal stone faces stare impassively across stone-built temples, huge structures devoted to long-forgotten empires, now trailed by jungle creepers and pierced by the strangling roots of vast forest trees. This is the complex of Angkor, the famous ‘lost city’ of the Khmers, the most astounding archaeological site in Asia and undoubtedly one of the world’s great travel highlights. Enjoy a tour of the Roulos group of temples including PrasatBakong, PreahKo and Lo Lei. You will also visit Angkor Thom, a fortified Royal City built by King Jayavarman VII, who ruled from 1181 to 1201. You are scheduled to spend the night in Siem Reap.
DAY3 – Siem Reap
Step into an illustrious past at the astonishing Khmer temple complex of Angkor. Explore the historical highlights of Cambodia, designated as a World Heritage site. Angkor is today preserved as an archaeological park consisting of 70 ruins covering an area of 200 square kilometres. Visit Angkor Wat, the most famous temple within the complex which is considered as the largest religious monument ever built. You are scheduled to spend the night in Siem Reap.
DAY 4 – Depart Siem Reap
This brings your journey to an end. You will be dropped off at the airport for your flight back home.
